Robert Watson began his employment journey on the ESF programme. Throughout his time at the NOW Group Robert has also been involved with our social groups to meet new people and develop his confidence. This includes the Fandom social group where people with a love of comic books, videogames and movies can get together and discuss their favourite interests.

In 2019, Robert interviewed for the position of Visitor Experience Assistant at W5 and was offered the job. However due to the Covid-19 pandemic, W5 was temporarily closed and his start date was put on hold. Robert waited patiently for W5 to reopen so he could commence his employment. In May 2022, Robert finally got to start his new job and he has thoroughly enjoyed his first week.

Robert is delighted to have received support from NOW Group’s Employment Officer Niamh Rainey and Workable throughout his employment journey. The members of staff at W5 have also been fantastic in helping Robert to settle into his new role. They have been patient and are taking the time to assist with his on-the-job training.

W5 are a JAM Card friendly organisation. Members of staff have been trained to recognise the JAM Card and will ensure that visitors with a hidden disability or communication barrier will receive quality customer care and ‘Just A Minute’ of extra time when needed.
