Peter Crean joined us on our European Social Fund funded Verve programme in June 2018 seeking help in securing an admin job. Peter has a first class honours degree but, at that time, had no work experience. We were able to get Peter a one-year work placement at the Ulster Historical Foundation and he also had a placement at the Belfast Child Gym. Peter worked hard at our Admin Academy and enjoyed playing in the NOW Group football team and joining a social group. Once Peter was ready to start applying for jobs he joined Karen’s job club and secured an eight week work trial at Grove Housing. The photo shows Peter at Grove where he now works for 15 hours a week in a role that includes administration and reception duties. Peter still receives support from the NOW Group via the Workable programme.
