Daniel McGeary works in Costa Coffee at the Lisburn Omniplex. Daniel joined the Department for Communities funded Workable NI programme in June 2019 to gain extra support around communication skills and confidence building. Daniel has shown great progress recently through self-development and taking part in the Loaf Catering Academy. Daniel joined the Academy to help hone his customer service skills and to gain additional skills such as in food preparation. This practical experience has been coupled with theory classes, some volunteering at Loaf and ongoing one to one meetings with his key worker, Niamh. The great strides Daniel has made have been evidenced by his support of other participants in the Loaf Catering Academy where he has been able to demonstrate and share his coffee making skills.
