New Job Role Adds Sparkle To Natalie’s Life

Natalie joined the Verve Programme on 11th August 2022. Her Employment Officer set about creating her CV and building up her confidence through weekly one-to-one sessions which helped Natalie feel more positive about herself and the future.

After several weeks of support Natalie was ready to start applying for jobs. Alongside her endeavours to find work, Natalie also started volunteering once a week at ForSight in Omagh, a new charity for the blind or vision impaired.

Soon the invitations to attend interviews started to flow in, which was great for Natalie’s confidence. Interview questions and answers were prepared by her EO and mock interviews followed so that Natalie could improve her interview skills. However, part of the interview process is dealing with rejections and Natalie had a few of them on her journey towards employment. Once again her EO helped Natalie learn from the experience by reviewing unexpected questions and preparing responses for the next time similar questions were asked.

Finally, Natalie hit the jackpot and received an offer of employment from DCK. Natalie now works 5 hours per week in both M&S and River Island displaying jewellery and other accessories. Natalie has shown that she has a real flair for this role with her supervisor saying “Natalie is a quick learner and has a good eye for detail which is very important in retail. She delivers a high standard of work and is proving to be a real asset to the team.” This job has certainly added a little sparkle to Natalie’s life!
