Verve finishes high in a review of over 10,000 similar schemes
Pre-pandemic: NOW Group participants and ambassadors
NOW Group’s project Verve has been recognised as one of the top-six programmes in Europe for promoting the employment of people with disabilities in 2020.
The Employment for All award, which is overseen by an internal jury panel of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), screens the work of around 15,000 initiatives from businesses and support providers across European nations.
Inclusion in the final six candidates of the fourth edition of the award demonstrates Verve’s success in providing a model for employment that is viewed as one of the most sustainable.
Since the programme began in 2018, it has achieved significant progress on its goals, with highlights including 617 participants supported and 224 entering employment, which is well in excess of the original targets for the programme.

Sean Hanna, Programme Manager, at NOW Group said:
“This recognition is testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Verve team. We have exceeded on all targets set for us."
"I am particularly proud that of the 224 people we have placed in employment 88% are still in their jobs after six months. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the funders and match funders for their ongoing support of NOW Group’s work.”
