Matthew works hard and works smart to finish 2020 on a high

Leaving education, Matthew Adair had one clear goal in mind

Ready for work: Matthew in his Russell’s uniform

After finishing his studies at tech, Matthew joined our VERVE programme in September with hopes of quickly finding paid employment.

To improve both his flexibility and skills with a view to enhancing his job prospects, he instantly signed up for NOW’s Driving Theory and IT training courses.

In anticipation of future interviews, he also made the clever decision to practice mock interview questions with his Job Coach, Madeline Heron.

The wisdom of this strategy was soon confirmed when, after just a few applications, Russell's Food and Drink in Kircubbin, County Down offered Matthew a telephone interview.

Having gained confidence from his diligent preparations, we are pleased to confirm that he was ultimately successful in his interview and is now an employee of Russell’s Food and Drink.

As well as achieved his goal of earning income through a job, we have received excellent feedback from Matthew’s manager that he is progressing well in his new role.

Congratulations to all involved!
